Richard's 32nd Birthday - December 12, 2007

On December 12, was Richie’s birthday. We celebrated by taking him out to King’s Fish House in Long Beach. Had a very nice lobster dinner and awesome cheesecake with chocolate dipped strawberries. The meal was delicious and the company was good. I’m sure he had a great time. He couldn’t stop raving about the cake.

5th Annual Holiday Party - December 15th, 2007

On Saturday, we went over to Sun City for our 5th Annual Holiday Party. We had a huge selection of food! We were entertained by a very thorough and fun trivia game that Sophorn came up with. We also had a couple of intense games of Jenga and our world famous White Elephant gift exchange. This year was probably one of the most funniest exchange. Good times good times.

Party No More

I noticed recently I’ve been drinking more and more. Let’s take this past week for example. It started on Thursday when my co-workers went out for a drink at the Saddle Ranch. I was enjoying way too much alcohol while watching Golden State Warriors end the Dallas Mavericks’ season. The bartender gave us a couple of shots and I had about 8 drinks total. I felt good but not overboard. Then came Saturday, Howard’s bachelor party. I had probably about 12-15 drinks that night. This included a 1/2 yard of beer at the Yardhouse, couple of shots, a six pack of beers, and a couple of mixed drinks. The results? Me puking my brains out in the bathroom for a couple of hours, in the morning, and was on my back the entire Sunday. I’m going to go out and say I won’t be drink for awhile. At least not that much.

My friend Johnny documented Saturday on his site. Here’s the video for your convenience here:

Happy Holidays

I can’t believe I’m on the half-way mark of my vacation. Can’t say they were dull. Spent the first day of my vacation in Sun City, Ca at our 4th Annual Christmas Party. We had lots of food to eat, had our gift exchange, played a home-made game by Sophorn, sang karaoke, and finished the night with a Trivia Pursuit game. The fun didn’t stop there. I delivered some gifts on Christmas Eve and went over to my sister’s for our annual tradition of opening gifts at midnight.

4th Annual Christmas Party - December 23, 2006

I received some great gifts this year! I received a set of Memory Foam Contour Pillows, which by the way eliminated all the shoulder pain I’ve been experiencing with my old pillow. I received a pair of Converse All-Star shoes, a GPS, and some motorcycle and car related toys. It’s amazing but I didn’t get any gift cards this year. I did however received alot of picture cards from friends.

Christmas day was spent with the parents eating Hot Pot and hanging out at Billy and Jen’s watching movies and eating at a buffet. The day after Christmas and the Wednesday afterwards was spent at the Harrah’s Casino in Rincon, San Diego. Played some poker and lost about $130. Still on that losing streak. Thanks Drew for setting all that up.

Here I am today with nothing to do. It’s a great feeling and I’m glad I do this every year. Gives me a chance to reflect the events of this year and usher in the new year. I’d have to say 2006 was one of the better years in my life. I became debt free, went to new places, continue to challenge myself at work, began investing, and just enjoyed life. There really isn’t anything else to complain about. Except maybe living on my own, but I have feeling I may be able to make that happen in the coming year or 2. Hope everyone have a safe and happy holiday. Let’s make this new year a good one too.

2006 S.A.D. Murder Mystery Dinner

For our 3rd annual Singles And Dating / Valentines Party, we decided to have a murder mystery dinner. Our gracious host did a great job as well as my gf who prepared all appetizers. We had alot of fun playing our roles and just a general good time mingling with people.

Happy Valentines Day!

Christmas Christmas Time For Cheers!

I spent 2 joyful days celebrating Christmas with great friends. First we went to Anandia’s first company Christmas party. For those who don’t know what Anandia is, its a jewelry store which specializes in pearls. Go check them out at their web site or visit their store in Newport Beach @ 377 East Coast Highway, Newport Beach, CA 92660. We enjoyed a great dinner from our gracious hosts Eric and Erica at their lovely home in Corona. Not to mention playing Cranium and Set was fun too.

The celebration didn’t end there. We went to our 3rd Annual Christmas party held @ Salya’s place. The place was decorated with the holiday in mind. Enjoyed some food and played a few games. Did our White Elephant gift exchange. That was fun as usually. Especially with the love statue! :-D
