Started on retagging all the past post. It’s going to take awhile to get through close to 200 posts. I love the Tag of Popularity cloud. So neat to see what my writing is focused on.
Removed calendar widget and added a Flickr Badge and a Live Update via Twitter widget.
Upgraded my Flickr account to Pro so I can add and create previous albums.
Removed the Comment RSS feed. Kind of silly if you ask me.
Installed a cool plug-in so that I can display photos on my post easier with my Flickr photos.
Here’s one for the road!
I like Flocks of Seagull. And no. That’s NOT a wig!
I saw this on a car this morning and took a quick shot of it using my camera phone. This is also a good test of blogging from flickr.com. I think I’ll be using flckr for camera phone pictures and my blog album for more personal things.
This weekend was our 5th Annual Halloween Costume Party held at Boston restaurant in Long Beach. This year’s theme was A Child’s Tale. I was the The Man with The Yellow Hat from the popular Curious George children book. I took the Best Male Costume award while my dear San took the Best Female Costume. She was the adorable Gingerbread Man. She hand-made her costume. This year’s party included the following characters:
Ursula from the Little Mermaid (also hand-made)
Little Red Riding Hood (partially hand-made)
The surviving little pig
Count Dracula (yes he was a folklore character)
Tinkerbell from Peter Pan
Jack & Jill
Dorothy & Scarecrow of The Wizard of Oz
Rumplestiltskin
Waldo from Where’s Waldo books
Snow White of the Seven Dwarves
Cruela Devil from 101 Dalmations
Jack of All Trades (Jack be Nimble, Jack and the Bean Stock, and Jack of Jack & Jill)
Thanks to Peuv for organizing and setting up another successful outing. Next year’s theme will be Heroes & Villians.
On another note, I was also honored last week for a Volunteer Recognition Award for my company. People were congratulating me. In a way I felt guilty because I didn’t think what I did was that great compared to what others do. I mean on my off time I’m helping the non-profit Asian Pacific Women’s Center redo their website and improve anything IT related for them. I actually enjoyed doing that kind of stuff and it was more fun than work to me. But I suppose I should just accept what they gave me and not be unappreciative. Man I’m still on this weird winning streak for the year.
We had our 4th Annual Halloween Costume Party last night. This year’s theme was famous or historical dead person. Coming into the party I thought I was going to be the only Elvis Presley. Unfortunately, I was duped again much like what happened at the 2nd year’s party where there were 2 Ryus of Street Fighter. Needless to say we both did not win any awards for our costume.
We had the following characters show up: Lucille Ball, Marie Antoinette, Frida Kahlo, Abe Lincoln, Kurt Cobain, Chivalry, Buddha, Sitting Bull, Marilyn Monroe, Jimi Hendrix, Lady Macbeth, William Wallace (Braveheart), Princess Isabelle (Braveheart), Mercedes Barba, 2 Pacohontas, and of course 2 Elvis.
I’ve always wanted to create myself as a South Park character. Thanks to a South Park fan, it is finally possible to do so! Try creating yourself. Guaranteed hours of fun.
The other day I was flipping through the channels and caught the ending scene of the Jimmy Kimmel show. At least it appeared to be the ending scene. There’s this joke between Kimmel and Matt Damon where Kimmel never has time for him in his show even though he’s a big-time actor. Well, I personally think this looks like Matt was seriously pissed, but people in the Internet seem to think it’s a joke on us, the viewers. If it is a joke, how did he get himself to turn red like that and that whole slamming on the table seemed convincing enough. Anyhow, you be the judge:
